M.A. LPC Associate
Joshua Cook
I work with a range of clients experiencing everything from anxiety and depression to suicidal thoughts. I have a soft spot for those battling thoughts of suicide, because it is the second leading cause of death in the US for people between 10 – 35. Therapy can be beneficial for your health and well being. I want you to know that there is hope, healing, and that recovery is possible.
I have educated hundreds of public school teachers on how to provide help for individuals in crisis, and have assisted hundreds of people directly in crisis toward developing a strategy and an actionable plan they can use to stay safe. I would be honored to help you today.
Professional Background
I received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University with a double major in Psychology and Economics. I received a master’s degree in general psychology from Sam Houston State University along with additional post-graduate studies in counseling at Liberty University. Since graduating, I’ve worked as a Mobile Crisis Outreach Coordinator and trained public school teachers in Mental Health First Aid. I have also served people on probation and parole as a counseling associate and case manager.
