  1. My faith is my biggest inspiration for becoming a licensed professional counselor. I believe that people all have intrinsic value because God created people with a purpose. People are the most valuable part of God’s creation, so I can’t think of a better way to spend my time than helping others!

  2. My approach to therapy is empathetic, non judgmental, and more candid. I like to make my counseling services concrete and tend to take more of a direct role that educates and equips clients. I try to push for progress and challenge my clients to grow rather than just be a listening ear.

  3. Typically, we set goals early in therapy based on the problems that are presented by the client. I also like to help my clients identify other goals that would help them that they may not even have been aware of when they first started therapy. I am very upfront about my therapeutic objectives with my clients, so that they understand the process and feel more comfortable.

  4. Therapy is only as effective as the level of investment a client has in their health. The clients I have that are heavily invested in their therapy tend to heal quicker. They get better results when they are invested in the therapeutic process and come in with an open mind.

  5. I typically allow my clients to present their perspective on the problems first. Once I’ve conceptualized their concerns I will share practical feedback that is directly relevant to their circumstances.

  6. I like to share that taking full personal responsibility for all aspects of oneself is the beginning of the growth process.

  7. It has been extremely rewarding to watch my clients heal from pain, find their joy, unify their families, and make the world a better place.

  8. In Viktor Frank’s book, Man’s Search for Meaning, he has a famous quote that I love and has influenced me as a licensed professional counselor: “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way”

  9. Couples wanting to work on their marriage, boys ages 5 – 25, parents struggling with their child’s ADHD or behavioral issues, and individual adults struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, childhood pain, autism and  bipolar.

  10. I hope that my clients leave my counseling services with hope, encouragement, self awareness, empowerment to change, a renewed perspective, motivation, direction, confidence, and peace.

  11. Goals are based off of needs that the client presents, as well as unmet needs that I notice are directly relevant that a client may not initially be aware of.

  12. I enjoy helping clients work through anxiety, depression, ADHD, and marriage issues.

  13. I offer counseling services for children ages 4-12, teens 12-20, adults ages 20+, and couples that are dating or married.

  14. I help clients learn coping skills through clinically proven anxiety treatments, behavioral change, reframing their perspective and thought life.

  15. Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy strategy games, drumming, travelling, hiking, kayaking, running, camping, bike ridding, and playing pool.
