Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate
(Supervised by Paul Myers)

Rachel Voltz

My goal is to ensure that what is done in therapy is personalized, collaborative, and unique to you as the client, so you leave the session feeling invested in yourself. Being a female Christian counselor, I incorporate faith-based guidance in addition to standard psychotherapies.

For those who prefer not to use Christian counseling, I lead my counseling services with a Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) approach, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a Narrative approach as I understand one method may work better for some clients than others. Value exploration, goal-setting activities, and daily routine management activities can be expected in client sessions.

I believe in helping people through my counseling services, which is why I enjoy investing in young children and adults of all ages. For individuals with substance abuse issues, I have created personalized curriculum for the client seeking sobriety through my experience working at an outpatient treatment center. I look forward to leading you through your struggles by thought-provoking questions and fostering an environment of openness.

Get to Know Rachel

  1. Therapy can be awkward! It’s normal to feel uncomfortable the first few sessions as you get to know your therapist. With time, the therapeutic relationship grows and you’ll find yourself excited to have therapy on the calendar that week.

  2. Don’t make permanent decision based on temporary emotions. Together, we can discuss your feelings, thoughts, and structurally problem solve.

  3. As a licensed professional counselor, I most enjoy listening and challenging different perspectives with my clients.

  4. I am not the superhero, the answers are within you. I am just the instrument to help you discover yourself.

  5. We create goals in the first session and will periodically check in with those goals to track our progress. Based on meeting those goals, we can set new goals for our discussion. As a therapist, gentle accountability and monitoring of progress is how I help clients achieve their goals.

  6. I enjoy counseling services that focus on Christianity and weaving biblical truths.
